IP for adaption

Why is REMICAAT interesting for you?

For buyers and producers

If you are looking for stories to develop, you already know the challenge is not a lack of material. It is finding the right material.
Relevant IP is often scattered across sectors, languages, and formats. Much of it sits outside the usual channels, or circulates in ways that make it difficult to evaluate properly. The search can quickly become expensive, time-consuming, fragmented, and dependent on limited networks.
REMICAAT is developed to make this process more structured.
The project is designed to support the discovery of narrative intellectual property across different sources, while also helping to frame its potential for adaptation. Instead of only surfacing content, the aim is to provide more context around what a property is, where it comes from, and how it might be developed across media.
This includes a stronger focus on:

  • Identifying IP beyond the most visible markets
  • Connecting different creative sectors, from publishing to audiovisual to interactive media
  • Improving clarity around rights and licensing conditions
  • Supporting a more informed evaluation of adaptation potential

A key aspect is the multilingual dimension.
Many stories with strong narrative value exist outside dominant language ecosystems and are rarely part of standard discovery pipelines.
REMICAAT is intended to help bring these into view and to support a more targeted, less dispersed way of working with IP.
