What is REMICAAT

REMICAAT starts with a simple observation:
there are far more stories out there than the industry is actually able to see. These stories can come from anywhere.
Books, archives, music, theatre, online games industry, independent projects, or hybrid formats that don’t fit neatly into one category. Many of them have real potential for adaptation, but they remain scattered, hard to find, or disconnected from the people who could develop them further. The project is being developed to help structure that space. Not as a simple listing platform, but as a way to bring together discovery, evaluation, and rights awareness in a more coherent system.

Why this matters now

On one side, there are creators and rights holders who struggle to give their work visibility beyond its original context. On the other hand, there are producers, studios, publishers, and developers constantly looking for strong narrative material. The search often relies on limited channels, existing networks, or what is already circulating. The result is a significant number of missed connections and overlooked opportunities.
REMICAAT is intended to make that process less fragmented. The goal is not just to surface more IP, but to make it easier to understand what is available, what it could become, and how it might be developed.

What the project is trying to build

At this stage, REMICAAT is focused on creating a more structured way to approach narrative IP across sectors.
This means identifying and mapping intellectual property across different sources, while highlighting possible paths for cross-media adaptation and improving clarity around rights, ownership, and licensing.
The goal is to make it easier to understand what exists, what potential it holds, and how it might be developed further.
Technology plays a role, but it is only part of the picture. The project combines technical tools with industry experience
to support better decisions around creative development.

A broader European perspective

One important aspect of REMICAAT is its attention to what usually stays outside the spotlight.
A lot of culturally strong material exists in regional contexts, smaller markets, or non-dominant languages. It often doesn’t reach international development pipelines, not because it lacks value, but because it lacks visibility.
By bringing more structure and visibility to these IPs,
the project aims to open up new opportunities both for those who own them and for those looking for original material to develop.
The intention is to help these narratives move beyond their local context and become part of a wider creative ecosystem.

Who is behind it

REMICAAT is being developed by Connemaris Media and EYZ Media The project brings together two different but complementary perspectives: one rooted in the creative and production side of the industry, the other in technology, data, and system design. The idea is to combine these strengths into a single, coherent approach to IP discovery and development.
